Va. is starting to look bright for the Farmer's

Well folks, I am proud to announce that Virginia is starting to look a bit brighter! As I mentioned before... I was having a TERRIBLE time adjusting to this place!!! I now have some exciting things to look forward to. First and foremost in a few short days we will find out the sex of our 2nd little miracle (Jan. 24th) and I couldn't be more anxious!

With that being the MOST important and MOST exciting thing coming up, I also have another exciting announcement. I got a J-O-B!!!!! I never thought I would be SO excited for a job.... but after too much laziness and pure boredom I decided that having extra money and a reason to get showered every day would help me VERY much and Mason too! I can EVEN take Mason to work with me!

I will be nannying for a WONDERFUL family! I am so excited! Thank you Becky Clarke for introducing me to the Carlin's!

Another exciting adventure on my list is that I am flying home on the 25th, the day after I find out the sex of the baby. Sooooooo, I am going to TRY and yes I said TRY to not tell anyone until I can tell in person the next day! That will be extremely hard for me!!!!! Needless to say, I am flying on a plane for the 1st time in a while by myself with a one year old. This should be interesting! Oh and did I mention that Mason will be sitting in my lap??? Ahhhhhhh, I am so nervous! I don't want to be that mom with the screaming child....but what can I do????

Pray for me please!

Anyhow, once J and I get back home (Jeremy is deploying on the ship for a few weeks) we will then begin our house search in Suffolk! Yayyyyyy!

So many exciting things coming up!

Talk soon!

2010 coming to an end...

As 2010 comes to end, our new life here in Virginia is just beginning!!! I haven't posted a blog in a long time, but I am going to TRY to stay on top of it from now on...well when I have interesting things to post. Anywho, we have now made the move to Virginia. We rented a temporary condo on the beach, or bay until we decide whether we are going to rent or buy a home up here and which area we want to live in. It has def. been an adjustment. We left Macie in Bluefield with Jeremy's mom until we move into our permanent place because we can't have dogs. All of our belongings are in storage until further notice and it is freezing here to say the least. After about a month and a half of being here I have finally realized that I am going to be ok and I will eventually grow to like it here. I really miss my family and friends!

As of now, we are preparing for Jeremy to check into the USS Harry Truman. The ship just returned from a 7 month deployment and now he will start his journey on the boat. I am also currently looking for a contemporary Christian Church for us to join! If you have any recommendations for this area let me know.

Mason is growing so much and ready to meet some new friends. He loves watching it snow when he is inside a warm car or house. He points and says something (haven't figured out exactly what it is he is saying). He is so cute and sweet!

Also....the lil bean in my belly is growing away. For the past few weeks I have been feeling little flutters and I am pretty sure it is the baby. I have my next ob appt. Jan. 3rd, 2011 and the following appt. we will find out the sex. I am SO excited! I am REALLY hoping for a girl...but most importantly a healthy baby. We have picked out a boy and a girl name, but I am not revealing what they are just yet. I love both names, so I will be excited either way!

Our next endeavor is finding where we are going to be living permanently so that I can make the house a home while we are here and start preparing the nursery for the precious bundle of joy! I think I have found one of my favorite things to do is to decorate and make a house a home. Not really being able to do that in the place we are in has REALLY made me realize that. I know that most girls do like doing that...but I REALLY REALLY like to do it. I am so ready to fill a bit more settled that I do right now! Until then I will make do!

Mason is going to have a wonderful Christmas, he has been spoiled rotten by EVERYONE! What a lucky lil feller he is! I can't wait to see his face Christmas morning!

Well, I could write all day but I think I will leave it at this. I will keep you updated on the house hunting and on the lil bean growing in my belly.

Merry Christmas!

Xoxo,
Ashley, Jeremy & Mason

This Pregnancy = SLEEPLESS nights

Last night was a very rough night for me! I decided to sleep on the couch because the 2 nights prior I tossed and turned ALL night long. My pillow was not comfortable, the bed wasn't comfy, I was hot, the fan wasn't fast enough, etc. etc. etc. So last night I went to bed and was comfortable and cool. Things were going good until baby boy decided to wake up in a foul mood. I finally got him back to sleep and the insomnia kicked in for me. So here I am staring at the computer @ 2am, wide awake!

Needless to say, it made for a VERY long day today! I got the house picked up and made it to the grocery store. I am utterly exhausted, but still have time for FB and blogging. I don't even have any followers, but it feels good to jot my feelings down. My online diary!

I am so excited about Kristen's shower that I can hardly stand it. It is going to be so cute and we have lots of people coming. I love entertaining, so this is right up my alley.

Besides that, I have lots of exciting things coming up.

The Shower
Gatlinburg trip
Month visiting family and friends
Hubby deploying (not exciting at all, very upsetting actually)
Bluefield Birthday for Mason
Shopping in Charlotte with Mimi
Mason's big 1st Birthday here
finding out the sex of baby #2
Baby Easton's arrival
Then Fall, my favorite time of year!
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Year's
My Birthday
Arrival of Baby #2
DADDY COMES HOME FROM OVERSEAS
Jenna's wedding festivities
THE wedding
Moving

Phew...that's a list alright!

I will be VERY busy, which will make Jeremy's time away go by very fast (hopefully)! I am going to miss him so much!

OK, now i am just ranting!

Til next time!

Mason is officially "on the go"

Well as of today, our baby boy is now crawling! It seems like just yest. I was so anxious to go to the hospital to give birth to my little miracle and now here we are! 6 months old and crawling, holding sippy sups, trying to drink out of a real cup, eating real food. This is actually SCAREY! Time is flying by, he is growing up and guess what else it means??? I am getting older and fast! Life is all good, but I wish things would slow down a bit.

Some may not be ready to hear this and others may be anxiously awaiting this statement...but I am ready to start trying for another! I feel like I need to hurry up and have them! I want a BIG family and lots of precious children surrounding me! I never thought when Jeremy and I were dating would he feel this way... but he does! He wants lots of precious chikdren around him as well! In my opinion... life isn't worth living if you don't have a house full of children to share the love with! Needless to say, I can't wait for the next... while loving every minute I spend with my precious son Mason James! Having him is by far the best thing that ever happened to me!

Anyhow, thought I would share that! I am hosting a playdate tomorrow and I am so excited! I love being a mommy!

Life is good!

The bedtime saga

Goodmorning! So after long conversation yest. I decided that last night would be the night that I start letting Mason cry! As some point in all of our lives, I would like to sleep through the night again. So..... we put Mason to bed @ about 915ish. He was out! 1200 rolls around and guess who is screaming bloody murder?????? Yes, that would be Mason James! I also didn't mention that I am trying to cut the bottle out in the middle of the night as well. So...he was crying at 12 and hadn't been asleep all that long, I let him cry for 30 min. and then went to check on him, he was fine so I let him cry for a little longer and WAH LAH, he cried his precious little self to sleep. It was VERY hard for me to listen to him cry and not do anything. Needless to say, he slept til 430. I then made him a bottle and he ate like he had never ate before and went back to sleep until about 7. Hopefully each night the crying will windle down.
Tata for now... gotta get ready for mom and Chan!

April 8, 2010

Today Mason and I went to a play date @ a friends house. Mason absolutely loves watching the big boys play. Caden and Bryce were running around the yard and doing boy things and Mason was just staring...wondering when he could get down and play with them. He also loves to hang with the 2 other babies...which are girls! He is such a ladies man! This picture is from a party we went to a few weeks ago. Just proving that he is a ladies man!
